WAAZAA: I'm a Monster at Card Games

WAAZAA is a 2D tactical card battler that combines strategic deck-building with grid-based positioning. Take command of a powerful Monarch, lead your army onto a 3x6 battlefield, and outsmart your opponent in a high-stakes duel for dominance.

Core Gameplay

In WAAZAA, your position is as important as your hand.

• The Monarch System: Choose from 9 unique Monarchs, each acting as the leader of your army. Your choice determines your faction and the playstyle you'll need to master.
• Dynamic Deck Generation: Once your Monarch is chosen, you’ll receive a randomized deck from their specific army. Adapt your strategy on the fly with the cards fate deals you.
• The 3x6 Grid: Monarchs start at opposite corners of the board. Use your cards to deploy troops, manage resources, or cast devastating spells to protect your leader and crush the enemy Monarch.

Game Modes

• VS AI (Solo Play): Test your skills against the machine. Choose your opponent and practice your combos in a challenging single-player environment.
• Local Versus (Same PC): The ultimate way to settle scores. Challenge a friend on the same computer and find out who truly rules the grid.

Development Status: Alpha

This project is the result of 6 months of solo development.

• Visuals: Most of the artwork is currently in the Concept Art stage. While they are preliminary designs, every card is fully functional, recognizable, and includes its own detailed description.
• Gallery & Tutorial: Explore the full collection of cards in the in-game Gallery, and learn the ropes with a dedicated tutorial that explains every phase of combat.

Developer’s Note: The AI is currently at a functional and challenging level, though I am constantly working to polish its behavior and balance the 9 Monarchs.
